Directly above the pilgrimage church is the lookout point "Kaiserhütte", from which you have an impressive view of the municipality and the Rosental valley with the Drava river and the Karawanken mountains.

Coming from Klagenfurt and Ferlach to Maria Rain to the municipal office, park here!

Directions
We march from the municipal office along the road south to the pilgrimage church. From here along the road "Kaiserhüttenweg", this begins at the upper cemetery wall. At a wayside shrine we turn right and after a few minutes we arrive at the view "Kaiserhütte". In good weather an impressive view! On a good path we go straight ahead quite evenly into the forest. After about 20 min. we come to a crossroads with the sign "Nach Maria Rain", we keep to the right and march down the mountain. After another 15 min. we come across the "Bischof Paulitsch Pilgerweg". (Here you have the possibility to make a short detour to the birth chapel of Bishop Paulitsch). Here at the crossroads we keep to the right and after another 15 minutes we reach the beginning of the path near the former Kirschnerhof inn. From here, turn right up the path to the church or continue straight on to the starting point at the municipal office.
