Pumpfoil - Austria's first club on Lake Wörthersee
Just as in 1935 with water skiing, Lake Wörthersee is once again setting new standards: Austria's first Pumpfoil club is located here! With pump foiling, you move across the water without a motor by simply pumping the board - a unique feeling of weightlessness that combines fitness and technology.
Experience pure happiness - even without a board under your feet: parasailing & hooping
If you want to experience the lake from a bird's eye view, you should try parasailing - at a height of up to 100 meters, you get a new perspective on the different color facets of Lake Wörthersee. In addition to excellent water sports infrastructure, Lake Wörthersee is also home to numerous sporting events that can take place directly on the lake. Sailing regattas are held, weekly waterskiing and wakeboarding shows take place and the national wakeboarding championships are held at the "Wakeation Southside Rodeo 2020". But who would have thought that water sports can also take place all year round at Lake Wörthersee? Hardcore swimmers meet up once a week on Sundays at the winter swimming event in Velden to go swimming together! This event culminates in the "Velden New Year's Swim", which takes place every year on New Year's Day at 10:00 a.m. in front of the Falkensteiner Schlosshotel Velden on the promenade and has become an absolute must for 100 enthusiastic winter swimmers!
