This hike from Windisch Bleiberg via the south side is a popular tour in autumn and also in winters with little snow.

Coming from Klagenfurt via B 91 Loiblpaßbundesstraße direction Bodental, parking lot directly in Windisch Bleiberg opposite the church.
Public transportaion:
e.g. by train from Klagenfurt to Ferlach and then by bus in the direction of Bodental to Windisch Bleiberg.
Attention: limited bus service during school vacations!

Directions
From the parking lot, pass between the church and Gasthof Kirchenwirt, stay on the cart path, follow the red-white-red hiking trail markings and the hiking trail to the right into the forest. At the yellow hiking trail sign, do not turn left towards Halbingsattel but follow the marked hiking trail no. 654 straight ahead. Cross a small stream and walk uphill through the forest, later crossing several forest roads. Always follow the markings upwards. Soon you reach the last forest road. From here you have a beautiful view of the Karawanken and the Bodental. In a few minutes on a "small Gupf", from there briefly descend and then follow the north-facing forest road further east. In succession, turn left off the forest road and follow the markings for about 10 minutes to the "small" summit cross. This is also the highest point of the hike (1589 m).
Return in the same way as the ascent or alternatively bypass the "small Gupf" on the right (north side) along the forest road. Follow this past the hang-glider take-off ramp to the "large" summit cross on the flat ridge of the Singerberg. Follow the forest road to the Halbingsattel, here turn left towards the south and follow the yellow hiking trail signs. Shortly before leaving the forest you meet the path already known from the ascent. Follow this path down to the parking lot.
