The circular route leads in a large loop through Windisch Bleiberg and Bodental with 2 cross connections and 8 rest areas and is signposted in both directions. You have the option of starting the hike at three hiking starting points and choosing your own time between 1.5 h and 4 h with refreshment stops, depending on the route.

Suggestion: Start in Windisch Bleiberg, located at 948 m above sea level.
The mining past in Windisch Bleiberg is still evidenced by a gallery entrance below the church, which is dedicated to the patron saint of miners - St. Erhard. Along the Bodenbach stream at the "Felsentor" resting place or up along historic connecting paths, with further resting places, you reach the hidden Bodental valley. You hike further in the valley floor through old cultivated landscape, past the vacation houses, to the legendary "Meerauge". The highlight of the circular hike is the most beautiful valley head of the Karawanken, "the fairy tale meadow". In 1998, the film about Ötzi, the Iceman, was shot here. On the wooded way back you will gain height and at many prominent points, such as from the high seat "Rijautzablick", you will have a fantastic view of the vertical, craggy rock faces of the Zelenitza and the Vertatscha. On the sunny slope the path leads past old farms and you walk through mountain and flower meadows, rich in botanical rarities. With "fairytale views" of the highest peaks of the Karavanke, from the Koschuta to the Hochstuhl, you return to the starting point.
