Directions
Starting from the parking lot, follow the state road until just before the small grocery store. At the fork in the road on the right side follow the yellow hiking trail signs no. 636. With beautiful views of the village, follow the forest road in the direction of "Umwiese". Through sparse beech forests with a pine stand, the hiking trail continues steadily uphill to the former "toboggan run". Follow this uphill to the highest point, then descend slightly to reach the terrace "Hintergupf". Past the Kroschlhof inn, you hike on hiking and forest paths, steadily following the 636 marking, towards the "Hansenruhe" - the saddle between Matzen and Jauernig. From here it is not too far. First along the ridge and then on the east side crossing the Matzen you reach the Anna church standing on a small clearing, with beautiful views into the Rosental, to Ferlach and to St. Margareten. Return via the already known path.
