WÖRTHERSEE SWIM Austria – 17 km Open Water Challenge

The WÖRTHERSEE SWIM Austria is one of the most challenging open water swimming events in Austria and is aimed at experienced swimmers who want to take on the legendary 17 km distance across Lake Wörthersee.

The start is at the boat landing stage Velden / Schloss Hotel, and the finish line is at the Strandbad Klagenfurt. The route runs close to the shore and is professionally secured by several support boats. There are three refreshment stations on boats along the route, providing isotonic drinks, energy gels, bars, and bananas. Participation is possible with or without a wetsuit, and results will be categorized by various age groups.

⚠️ Weather Notice: In case of bad weather, the open water events will be postponed to Sunday.
